Copper Earrings

Some pieces change the way you behave as soon as you put them on. I created them for women who no longer want to be smaller - each piece is hand-cut from copper sheet into a precise semicircle shape, then individually hammered until the surface retains the heat with every strike.

Copper has been worn close to the skin for millennia by those who wanted to feel the warmth of the sun, even when it was not present, and those women who return to me always say the same thing: something has opened up anew within them.

These are among the last earrings I will make before I permanently close my workshop. I hope they find faces that are ready to take their place.
